Griffith Art Gallery is pleased to introduce this talented artist to our collectors.  Victor born in Young Joo, Kyungham, spent his childhood in Culan surounded by beautiful contryside.  At a early age, Victor was recognised as a talented artist by his school teachers with his natural ability to draw and sketch.  Victor, after graduating high school in Seoul, joined the military.  After his stint in the military, Victor returned to his passion for art and was soon teaching art and was invited to be a member of The Korean Artist Association where he soon attained membership in the Mokwoo Association.

Victor creates his works on canvas using a mixture of brush and palate knife.  Subjects range from non objective abstract to peacefull landscapes featuring pastures of rolling hills.

Recently, Victor has spent a majority of his time painting murals for major comercial companies in Seoul, Korea.

A 20th century style of painting in which nonrepresentational lines, colors, shapes, and forms replace accurate visual depiction of objects, landscape, and figures. The subjects often stylized, blurred, repeated or broken down into basic forms so that it becomes unrecognizable. Intangible subjects such as thoughts, emotions, and time are often expressed in abstract art form.
