Marie-Claude studied language focussing in Latin and Spanish as well as French Literature at McGill University in Montreal before breifly persuing a career in teaching. Boucher has since devoted herself to full time painting.
Marie-Claude maintains a palette of primary and pure colours, painting with a distinct style using broad rapid brushstrokes to depict the rural settings of her youth. Her paintings depict Churces, Red Roofs, and simple Quebec homes and fences of her childhood summers spent in Notre-Dame-du-Lac.
